News From Estancia Laguna Verde Lodge

 Dear friends,

In these strange times, full of complications, worries and considerable anxiety, it is our fervent hope that you and your families are all very well. Let's go on taking care, and if it is possible, enjoying the fishing (many, fortunately, can do it locally).

As we all know, few industries have fallen as far and as fast as tourism due to the pandemic.

However, everything has already been prepared for a new season in Estancia Laguna Verde Lodge. Luckily, the isolated location of our Estancia and the amplitude of our facilities for guests and staff allows us to fulfil all the protocols worldwide required for this virus.

The good news we want to share with you today is that we are having a winter with incredible snowfalls (63¨ so far versus a historical average of 22¨). It has been the heaviest snowfall in the last 20 years! This will lead to a significant melting and consequently to a substantial volume of water which will drain into the two systems that cross our vast plateau: Barrancoso River and Strobel Lake, and Arroyo Moro and our 15 chained lakes. These lakes have been under a persistent drought over the last eight years. It will, fortunately, conclude with these levels of snow.

We have no doubts that all this will result in another excellent fishing season, throughout spring, summer and autumn.

Our traditional friendly reservation policy, properly adapted to these pandemic times, makes our guests feel at ease to book their spots with the certainty that their money will be respected and never lost, being able to roll over them until the trip is safe and achievable.

As opposed to many other operators, unfortunately extremely complicated economically with this pandemic, we are owners of our Estancia, and we have a solid situation. All this added to our very personal way of managing our important prestige in the Fly Fishing market.

We love what we do, and we are committed to continuing the path we started almost 14 years ago, with the same passion and devotion of the first day, to offer our guests the best stay and the possibility to make friendships and treasure memories that will last a lifetime.
